Having to show faces of people behind the platform, will build more trust, and show that they are willing to do good. But not having all this done, proves they have no pure agenda.

Once you link your account (WhatsApp) to the platform, you have granted them access to using your account for their own interest, which places your account at high risk of getting banned for malicious activities.
So the misuse of WhatsApp accounts for their adverts, makes me doubt their authenticity, and I will advise you not to risk your account.
